We have just spent a week at this delightful cottage which is in lovely peaceful surroundings next to the River Gilpin. Very well equipped to a high standard, it had everything we needed. Highly recommended!

This cottage is in a wonderful location, bubbling stream, attractive gardens, really tranquil.. Convenient for the Lakes and mountains but far enough away to avoid the bustle. The cottage is equipped to a high standard and we wanted for nothing. One suggestion to all owners, wider longer, beds!

Holiday cottage was perfect, couldn’t fault it but the Admin on your side was poor.. You made a typo with my email address and failed to send the booking confirmation until I chased the day before the holiday. You initially denied there was a booking because you couldn’t find the correct email address even though funds had been taken. Luckily resolved within a few hours once your team realised their error but unnecessary stress.

Access to the hotel swimming pool was great & we used it a lot.. The cottage was very comfortable and in a quiet, attractive location. The hosts were friendly & gave us lots of tips about local places to visit with the children. Cottage would be even better if shower was upgraded & there was a heated towel rail/somewhere to dry wet things.

Amazing and stunning. We will be talking about this wonderful cottage for years to come. Lovely setting, beautiful stream to watch the yellow wagtails (and heron!) right outside the door. Everything you would think of for your own home was here. Meeting the owners was a joy also. Highly recommended.

We loved this cottage, so peaceful and pretty area. Not too far from Kendal or Bowness. Owners were lovely too. Great facilities and will definitely be back :)

Excellent cottage - would definitely recommend. The owners were there when we arrived and showed us how everything worked which was really helpful. They had even left us a bottle of fizz for NYE. Even in Dec/Jan the cottage was warm and cosy. The kitchen was so well equpped and there were lots of Dvds, books and games for those rainy days. The location was spectacular, quiet and peaceful - you drove down to the mill - so picturesque and the stream was beautiful. Nearby pubs were plentiful within a 5 mile radius.
