Accomodation Details
All first floor. One double bedroom. Refurbished bathroom with walk in shower, basin and WC. Fitted kitchen with breakfast bar and induction hob. Sitting room.

Area
Situated in the southern Lake District and just a few short miles from the coastal estuary and the seaside town of Grange-over-Sands is the small village of Lindale. With a true 'Lakeland feel', due to its narrow streets, traditional dwellings and quaint old pubs, this charming village is positioned on the slopes of Hampsfield Fell. The coastal resorts of Arnside and Grange are worth a visit, whilst the pretty town of Cartmel - with its famous annual horse race meetings - offers plenty to see. Lake Windermere and the villages of Bowness-on-Windermere and Hawkshead are only a short drive away and still retain the charm and character that has endeared them to so many visitors. The fabulous countryside which surrounds Lindale also provides exceptional walking and cycling opportunities.

Region
Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

Amenities
Electric heating. Electric oven and induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, TV with Freeview, DVD. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Allocated off road parking for 1 car. Rear lawned garden. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shops and pubs 10 mins walk. Note: This property is not suitable for children.

It’s a Beautiful apartment. With amazing views. The down side is that when u want a bath there’s not a lot of hot water and the shower didn’t work. There is an oven but it’s very slow and doesn’t work very well

Apartment has great views from lounge and kitchen and is in a quiet residential area.We saw some bad reviews on Sykes and TripAdvisor sites, I spoke to Mr Flitcroft who said he had been to the property and he couldn't smell cannabis and one of the users had been removed. Dealing is still going on and when we opened the window one morning the smell of cannabis was so strong we decided to come home early.

Booked this property for a relaxing weeks holiday. What a nightmare! I can't believe we were sent to this property given the problem neighbours that the owner knew about. The weather was hot and we couldn't open the windows due to cannabis drifting in from dawn until dusk from neighbouring flat. People coming and going, deals been made and the use of inappropriate language. We eventually found alternative accommodation and packed up and left after 3 scary miserable nights. We reported the problems to Sykes/Skye cottages as soon as we were safely away. Because they said the problem was not in the property we had rented they refused to give a full refund!!! Reimbursed us 4 nights less their agents fee. Shame on you and on the owner!!!!!! Very frightening experience and not helped by the way we were spoken to by Sykes/Skye cottages. How could the owner who I spoke to 2 days before arriving have let us go to his property, knowing that they were trying to evict the problem occupants of the neighbouring apartment. What a wayear to treat a trusting holiday maker.

The apartment was perfect for us [wi fi would have helped.. ] Unfortunately the smell in our toilet from the users and deals downstairs was disgusting in a morning. We couldn’t open the windows on very hot days because of the smell. We feel very sorry for the owners because We loved the apartment, view and location but couldn’t envisage returning due to the fore mentioned.

Sykes failed to mention the cannabis users downstairs despite all previous guests comments since reopening in July.. Bathroom floor full of hairs...Left early. Would like a refund including my booking fee.

I really love this apartment and Mr Flitcroft is a very welcoming, friendly and helpful host.. The apartment is in a quiet peaceful area, something I cherish living in London. It's very clean, comfortable and modern with lots of lovely walks nearby and a great view over Morecambe Bay. This is my 3rd visit and hope to come many more times. Kind regards Doctor Graham

A new mattress would make a difference otherwise it was good

There is only one matter I'd like to draw attention to and this concerns the cleanliness of the kitchen door .. There was some grime where people commonly touch the door with their hands under the area of the handles and this was most apparent to the rear side facing the rubbish bin behind the door. Other doors needed less attention in this respect. I would also draw your attention to the bin being so very close to the warm air ventilation duct as this increases the potential for bad odours coming from the bin and possibly even a fire hazard if the bin's contents were particularly flammable,- although this is improbable. I hope you attended to renewing the strip light filament in the kitchen as this declined to illuminate in the evenings. The area immediately behind the entrance door reflects some dampness but these odours were managed by the wall heater in that area. Overall I enjoyed my week in the flat and would come there again.

Lovely flat in quiet area.. Well equipped, everything you need. Squeaky floors throughout were very annoying, comments re this in the visitors book as far back as 2016. Would return as long as the floors are fixed.

We had a lovely relaxing week but the apartment could do with a new mattress and a lighter duvet for summer only little things but would make the stay more comfortable.. Grange Over Sands is a very convenient place to stay for the Southern Lakes and lovely places to visit

“This apartments was absolutely to ...” This apartments was absolutely to my taste. A modern finishing, everything there, you would need. I stayed for 4 weeks in total, and each fFriday I got a new set of towels, beddings, even a basket for breakfast was prepared, with coffee, milk, cacao, jam, biscuits, so absolutely sweet! The accommodation was very clean and tidy, the views were stunning, the neighbours friendly and quiet. No one could ask for more, The kitchen was well equipped, and so nice, that even, me with my poor abilties in cooking felt tempted to try. If my husband had been with me, I really would... There was only one single thing, that could be improved; The bathroom is very nice, but I would prefer a Glas separation instead of a ? Sheet? ( Sorry, I am German) The contact to the owner was very nice, he helped me out, when I had difficulties with understanding the carefully done instructions, because English isn’t my first language. I already booked for next year, what better praise should I give. Thank you so much, Best regards M. Hellmann

Meeting up with three branches of our family staying in separate accommodation in the area for the week, we found it easy to link up, see the sights, and only had to look out of our window to see Morecambe Bay.. Suggestion made in visitors book of blackout curtains for the bedroom window, would have been helpful when we woke early to bright sunshine, but that's a quibble!

The apartment had all the facilities I needed for a comfortable week and was very warm and cosy.. The view from the lounge and kitchen windows was delightful - right across the Bay. Even though it was February, if the sun was out, I didn't even need the heating on as the place warmed up so much with the sun pouring through the big picture windows. The area was very quiet and peaceful and, providing you are fit enough to manage the very steep hill on the way back, walkable down to the wonderful promenade and shops in Grange itself. My only negative was that, despite trying on numerous occasions, I couldn't get in touch with the owner to get the keysafe code. Fortunately, Sykes were able to give me the code, but I then had problems when I arrived finding where the keysafe was especially as there were 2 hidden in a storecupboard! Had I been able to contact the owner, it would probably have been made clear which keysafe to use and where to find it. However, again, Sykes were extremely helpful and eventually sorted it for me so I could get in. This would not deter me from returning for another holiday as the apartment is lovely but it is worth mentioning as it made the process more difficult than it should have been. Many thanks to Sykes though for sorting it out for me.

A clean homely apartment with lovely sea views. Having breakfast looking at the sea was wonderful! The neighbours are quiet but friendly. The apartment has great facilities including a washer dryer that is useful after a wet walk . There are lots of walks to take and we found some in the information folders. Cartmel is a lovely place to walk too via Hampsfell Hospice, We also had a walk on Humphreys's Head. The duck pond & promenade at Grange is worth a visit. Overall we love the area and will stay at Baytree again.for a relaxing break. Thanks x
