This brilliant small cottage suffers from only one thing and it’s certainly not the furnishings which are 1st class. The highly efficient heating (very welcome) or the fact it’s spotlessly clean…..it’s the parking. To say it’s tight,if available at all, doesn’t cover it. But apart from that, hardly the owners fault,we would recommend the cottage to anyone

Fruit Cake delicious . The standard of the furniture was beautiful. We have been toBuxton lots and lots of times do we know it really well. Ardeevin is in a great place to get to everywhere. We were very pleased and impressed with our stay at Ardeevin Cottage in Buxton. It was definitely a home away from home! We rented through Sykes Cottages and had no problems with our booking. Buxton is a great place to stay and a central base for visiting the dales and peaks. The cottage was modern, very clean, well appointed and with some lovely touches and a thoughtful welcome pack from the owners on arrival. It was nice to have a separate kitchen/dinning area and not have it crammed into the sitting room area like some cottages. Loved the main bedroom with the beautiful feature pendent light and comfy king size bed and a great shower in the wet room to start the day! The owners had As there was only two of us we did not need the use of the twin bed room, but is was a cosy looking room. The cottage is in a good location and is a short walk to some shops. Buxton town centre, the Opera House, the Crescent, the Pavilions and Gardens are further down the road along with a selection of bars and restaurants. The Lonestar was one of our favourite places to eat and our favourite pub was The Old Sun Inn, being just out of the door and across the road form the cottage! At the time of writing the Sykes website shows off road parking. This is not the case and we have mentioned it to Sykes. The owners description is for parking outside the cottage. This is opposite to the property and is on a first come first served basis. During our one week stay there were only two occasions where we could not park outside the property. We are familiar with parts of Buxton, so it was not a problem to find an alternative place. The owners have kindly left some helpful parking suggestions in their information pack should guests need them All in all a great stay and a great time in Buxton and the surrounding areas. Would we go back to to Ardeevin cottage again…… Definitely!

We were very impressed by the acomodation, it was equiped with every thing we needed.. The gifts left for us were much appreciated. Dissapointed in the parking not always able to park outside the cottage. This was the only blip on the holiday. Otherwise we had a fantastic week.

We had such a fantastic week - we absolutely loved the cottage and the thoughtful little touches from the owners made us feel right at home.. Perfect location for exploring the Peak District, and we enjoyed being able to walk into the town for dinner on a couple of evenings and there is also a handy Sainsburys a couple of minutes walk away. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this gorgeous cottage, and hope to return!

The cottage is beautiful.. The owners are very friendly and very helpful. Only a 3 min walk to the nearest shop which was a great help during the snow storms as it was easy enough to get around without a car. Would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone looking to enjoy a relaxing holiday.

There was an iron and hairdryer which I don't think was mentioned in the advert and good to know so I didn't have to iron everything before I went and take a hairdryer.. The cottage was lovely, with quality decor and fittings. Very close to the town center, food shopping, eating out etc but also close to walks on the moors. The owners were thoughtful, leaving milk and a few treats and offering a later check-out on New Years day which was really appreciated.
