The Garden Flat is a lower ground floor apartment situated in the town of Buxton. This cottage sleeps four people in two bedrooms, consisting of one king-size double and a zip/link twin bedroom, as well as a shower room. The cottage also has a kitchen with breakfast bar, sitting room and a hall with dining area. Outside there is off road parking for one car and an enclosed front patio with furniture. The Garden Flat is an ideal base for a couple or family, with the wonderful Peak District National Park within easy reach.

The town of Buxton offers a semi-circular Crescent, The Great Stable, Hall Bank, The Square, The Pavilion Gardens and The Opera House, which has a full programme and annual Festival of Music and Arts. Buxton is a great base for exploring the Peak District National Park, as well as delightful towns and villages that are dotted throughout the region.

Second time here at this wonderfully appointed, semi secluded location only 5 mins from town centre and easy parking.. Ideally situated for most Peak District attractions and walks. Owners promptly attentive to any small query Very comfortable beds and cosy lounge. Nice welcome box and a visiting pet chicken called Ida - what more could you want, especially as an excellent Italian and superb French restaurants are 5 mins away and Buxton sports a Waitrose and Sainsbury’s as well good local butchers and bakers etc to cater for eating at “home”. Perfect place.

This was our second stay at The Garden Flat and we loved it just as much.. Centrally located in a quiet road, you are near to everything. The flat is beautifully appointed with everything you could ask for. Buxton itself is a beautiful spa town which has so much to offer. A short car ride takes you to Chatsworth, Ashford in the water, Eyam, etc. We will be back!

The garden flat was a great place to stay.. It was very well laid out and clean and well equipped. We were very comfy and cosy and enjoyed all the extra touches - wine, biscuits coffee, flowers etc. etc. and 2 big comfortable beds were an added bonus. The owners really have thought of everything. The location was brilliant for both Buxton itself and the roads and station for exploring the area. Highly recommended.

This was a lovely flat and so welcoming.. It was spotlessly clean with a generous welcome pack provided. The bed was comfortable with soft bed linen. The towels were large and fluffy. It was well equipped too (the only thing we looked for and would have been useful was a knife sharpener). All in all somewhere we would not hesitate to recommend and go back to.

While we have very high expectations of Sykes' Cottages, and had already spent a Christmas holiday in The Garden Flat, we were pleased this time not to experience problems with the key safe! Since Christmas 2016 the hedge beside the parking area had been trimmed back, making parking simpler especially in the dark and allowing the passenger to get in and out once the vehicle was parked. These may seem very minor matters in the overall scheme of things yet are typical of the owner's careful attention to detail that contributes to a successful and rewarding holiday. Top marks!

Set in a quiet location with easy walking distance to main street and shops , parking space very close , good restaurants and takeaways , doing delivery as well , a lovely old market town , you can drive for 30 mins approx to get anywhere , to do sight seeing , or a stately home , very good location , this apartment , is set up really well , good quality through out , what more can i say thanks for a great stay , we will be back ..

He flat sounded lovely, but photos of it weren’t very good.. Once booked the owner directed me to her own website with some great photos so I suggest Sykes update their photos. The flat was perfect with everything to make our stay comfortable and a great location. Took about 4 minutes to be at the tap house bar or pizza express. There were several other restaurants there too which we didn’t try.

Garden Flat is a spotless lower ground floor flat within a couple of minutes walk from the town centre of Buxton.. Comfy beds, fluffy towels, spacious rooms and plenty of kitchen utensils. The owners obviously takes care of their property and ensures that your stay is comfortable - home from home. We would be happy to rent this property again as the location is ideal for exploring the Peak District.

We were comfortable and cosy over Christmas.. It's a great location for shortish walks and close to the Opera House (pantomime), St Johns church (midnight service Christmas Eve) and Boxing Day lunch at Old Hall Hotel, together with all the town centre facilities. The Garden Flat exceeded our expectations; it was warm, comfortable and very well equipped and we enjoyed the Christmas goodies provided, together with tasteful decorations. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend and hopefully book again.

We've stayed here on two occasions in the last year and we loved it. Great location a short walk from the centre of town. The flat is lovely and very comfortable...great equipment and facilities. The little touches such as the fresh flowers, wine and chocolates were an added touch. Spotlessly clean.....we would recommend to anyone and will definitely be returning first a third visit!

What a wonderful find! After a difficult few months we really needed a quiet, peaceful Christmas break, and this was perfect. The Garden Flat is delightful. It is spacious, comfortable, beautifully and stylishly furnished and equipped. Clearly a lot of care and thought has gone into this! The kitchen is the best we have had in nearly 40 years of self-catering holidays - it has everything! Including proper, sharp kitchen knives, good scales, kitchen scissors, a good range of china and glassware including champagne flutes... There's a fridge freezer, dishwasher, and a separate laundry room with washing machine and heated airer. The living room has two big, comfy leather sofas, the beds are extremely comfortable, there's loads of storage. We arrived to some charming Christmas extras - a card and gift, a bottle of prosecco and dish of home-made mice pies; extremely classy lights and decorations; essential provisions supplied in the kitchen. We really could not have asked for better. The property is on a quiet, very attractive road, just above the Derbyshire Dome and Opera House, only a few minutes walk from the town centre, Pavilion Gardens, cafes and restaurants. M&S, Waitrose and Aldi are all just minutes away. We have been visiting Buxton for years but had never stayed there. Local recommendations - the Pavilion Gardens cafe was closed for Christmas, but Hargreaves olde worlde cafe always seems to be open! A bit further afield, Wheatcroft Wharf cafe makes a good stopping-off point on the Cromford Canal walk (just round the corner from Cromford Mill and way better than the cafe there). Hassop Station cafe is also good, close to the start (or finish) of the Monsal Trail. One warning - this could be difficult for anyone in a wheelchair, there are steps down to the entrance, and also a couple of steps within the flat. We are already checking out dates for a return!

This is a first-rate accommodation. Extremely comfortable, beautifully decorated with lots of nice touches like fresh flowers etc. We were greeted with a lovely welcome gift and everything we could possibly have needed was on hand. We travelled by train and the flat is no more than five minutes walk from the station. Also very handy for the town centre which is also within a few minutes walking distance. We would thoroughly recommend this flat.

The Garden Flat was one of the nicest properties we have stayed in, the owner had thought of everything and we could not fault a thing. It was beautifully clean and the beds were super comfy. Had a nice and spacious hall and lovely bathroom, the patio area was private and pretty. Buxton itself is a lovely town with lots to do and see. The surrounding areas were stunning with lovely little towns and villages; every café and restaurant we ate in was friendly, had good food and the toilets were spotless. All in all a perfect base for the Peak District, we will certainly return.

The Garden Flat was well situated for the shops, pubs and restaurant's in Buxton. It was in a quiet residential part of town and is a good base to stay to access all the local attractions. It had a homely feel about the flat, there were fresh flowers in all the rooms and on arrival there were home made biscuits and wine, which was a lovely gesture. We really enjoyed visiting Chatsworth House and the gardens are beautiful, well worth a visit. Dovedale is a lovely place to enjoy a pleasant walk along the river. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Peak district and will definitely return and stay in the Garden Flat.

This is a very comfortable garden flat situated in a beautiful part of Buxton. Within easy walking distance to many of the towns attractions, amenities and recreation establishments. The flat is located in a very quiet area, beautiful old, but well maintained residences with nicely tended and colourful gardens. Travel to other places was easy, due to excellent bus and train links through the fantastic scenery of the surrounding countryside. Buxton is a gem of a town, vibrant, warm and friendly and well worth getting to know better as there is always something new going on each month.
