The vibrant market town of Hay on Wye sits below (5 miles), renowned for its annual book festivals in May and November. It s a lovely town with impressive castle, local independent shops, cafes, and an art house cinema. Set on the banks of the River Wye, you can take advantage of the local beach The Warren in the warmer months. Canoe hire is available from both Hay on Wye and Glasbury. Enjoy the views across to the Hay Bluff and Tympa as you take a steady climb through the country lanes of the Begwns. The barn is set into the hillside surrounded by countryside. Access is through the double doors, here, you enter the main body of the barn; a light and airy lobby which offers access to a generously sized lounge with comfortable seating and a Smart TV, along with a spacious open plan kitchen/diner. The kitchen area is modern and well equipped and finished with a large dining table and chairs to accommodate six guests. A further utility room on this floor offers guests space to store outdoor shoes and coats, with a handy washing machine, freezer and a wet room with shower and WC. Heading upstairs, guests have the choice of three well proportioned bedrooms, accessed from a spacious landing with a reading chair. There s a double bedroom with en suite shower and WC, another double, and a twin bedroom with en suite shower and WC. A family bathroom with shower over bath, bidet, and WC completes the accommodation. The ground and first floor are under floor heated so you can be assured of indoors being cosy at all times. At the front of the barn you can enjoy dining al fresco on the garden table with seating plus sun parasols whilst enjoy the far reaching vistas. A charcoal BBQ is also supplied. Outside, the barn is surrounded by an enclosed garden. A stile offers access onto the common with the Begwns Roundabout less than 1 mile away. There is a covered area offering storage for bikes and canoes.
