Area

History pageants and other special events are performed alongside guided tours of the castle throughout the season. The Welsh Highland Railway stops here as it travels through beautiful countryside, the town of Beddgelert, and on to Porthmadog. At the harbour, you may go on a fishing trip, and in the heart of town, you can visit Segontium, a Roman fort turned museum with priceless artefacts. Close by are the mountains and rivers of Snowdonia, as well as the famous mountaineering town of Llanberis at the foot of Mount Snowdon, and the beautiful beaches of the Isle of Anglesey and the Lleyn Peninsula.
