Cottage in North Wales in Aberdyfi, Gwynedd

Description
Set your sights on Aberdovey for a very special break for two or bring along up to two further guests to join in the fun. Originally a port town, Aberdovey retains much of its old world charm with its architecture, friendly atmosphere and iconic seaside amusements including ice cream and crabbing. The four mile stretch of beach is also renowned for its potential for water sports, so you ll soon find yourself arranging boat trips, sea safaris and activities such as paddleboarding, windsurfing and sailing. The golfers amongst you will delight in the 18 hole championship golf course, and the surroundings are a must for walkers keen to embrace both Snowdonia s diverse coast and countryside. Foodies are also well catered for thanks to the array of pubs, cafes and shops, and the rolling calendar of events is guaranteed to suit guests of all ages. The traditional exterior reveals a charming family friendly property that s well suited to couples or a small family with a child in tow, complete with simple decor and period features such as slate floors and timber beams. The lounge is characterful and homely for those quiet afternoons relaxing on the sofas with a warming drink clasped in your hands and watch TV, sit at the table to dine together or simply unwind with your favourite book. Push aside the curtain in the doorway and venture through to the compact kitchen that s laid out in a galley style with clever storage solutions to maximise the use of space. There s a fridge/freezer tucked beneath the stairs, and you ll also have an electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher and a microwave for rustling up meals and clearing away afterwards. Steep cottage style stairs curve up to the first floor lounge with its marvellous views, comfortable seating, TV and DVD. There s also a bathroom on this level that consists of a shower over the bath and WC. A further steep set of stairs will take you to the top of the property, a welcome sight for weary guests as this is where the two bedrooms are located. Both have useful storage and double beds, but please note that one of the beds can only be accessed from one side. Outside, the patio area is unenclosed, bordering a slightly sloped path that leads down to the main road. Pause for a moment to gaze across the estuary to the mountains beyond, sitting down to fully appreciate the views. In terms of parking, you ll have a parking permit for one car to use in the Pay & display car park at Nantiesyn or by the beach.
