Set on the northern coast of the River Dyfi, the picturesque harbour resort of Aberdyfi (also known as Aberdovey) has miles of sandy beaches and a championship golf course, and is a great spot for a range of water sports including sailboarding, rowing, canoeing, and sailing.

The village hosts yachting regattas in the summer and is popular with surfers and anglers. Aberdyfi has a choice of independent shops, pubs and restaurants serving local seafood, and makes a great base for keen walkers and climbers exploring the southern reaches of the Snowdonia National Park.
