In no more than a fifteen-minute walk, you can be strolling past the quirky characters that inhabit Venice's iconic boardwalk, as well as the mulling over which of the plentiful nearby restaurants and bars you're going to head to later along Abbot Kinney Boulevard. Favourites include Venice mainstay, The Tasting Kitchen for cracking cocktails, and chef Evan Funke's Felix, which serves up some of the best pizza and pasta on the West Coast. Fancy exploring further afield? Hire a bike and pedal-power yourself to the storied Santa Monica Pier in less than twenty minutes, or up to Pacific Palisades in half an hour.
