Sea Spray is a traditional apartment situated in the village of Eyemouth in Scotland. Hosting two bedrooms; two doubles, along with a shower room, this property can sleep up to four people. Inside you will also find a kitchen, lounge/diner, and a utility area. To the outside is an external utility, public parking and an enclosed courtyard to the rear. Situated in a lovely location with sea views, Sea Spray is a delightful apartment in a memorable part of Scotland.

Area
There are excellent golfing facilities available in Eyemouth with a clifftop course in town and a number of other courses in the area, while walks, cycling, bird watching and visits to castles and country houses are all within a short driving distance. Visit Coldingham Priory, Paxton House, Manderston House, Floors Castle and the walled town of Berwick-upon-Tweed.

The cottage decoration and facilities were a little worn.. But there was everything we needed to be comfortable whilst there. What could be helpful would be a contact number for the owner in case of a problem with anything breaking down. The location is absolutely amazing, with shops of all kinds with in easy walking distance. The walls along the coast we can highly recommend, as are the local pubs where the locals are very friendly and welcoming. All in all we had a great time at SeaSpray in Eyemouth and will hopefully be back.

I stayed here for a couple of nights to see if it was suitable for my husband and myself to holiday here later in the year. My husband has great difficulty walking. The apartment Sea Spray is all on one level and has a back yard to sit out in the summer and there is a second toilet and washbasin in an outhouse. There is a wonderful double bed in the back bedroom and I woke up to the sound of sea gulls and the sea having slept for almost 12 hours.There is a twin bedded room at the front of the property next to the shower room and toilet, again ideal. The owner had been there to tidy up and paint ready for the season. It was very pleasant and clean with adequate cutlery and crockery for four people. There is a washing machine and tumble dryer if needed, in the outside utility room. There are plenty of friendly pubs and a coop within a few minutes walk and a bakery with bread that lasts and worth paying that bit extra, and an amazing restaurant called OBLO with an upstairs restaurant with a lift and a downstairs fish bar/ coffee shop. I have never tasted such lovely fish in the fish bar and had an amazing steak the following night in the upstairs restaurant. I watched the seals in the harbour. I bought some fish fresh off the boats at a small shop next to the docks. I had a drink in the Fleet to shelter from the rain, with a wonderful welcome from the customers and staff and an open fire to get myself dry and bought a 5 kilo bag of porridge direct from Hogarths in Kelso on my way home. The apartment Sea Spray has everything you need, and Eyemouth is an ideal base for touring round to Holy Island and Berwick upon Tweed and many other places. Not expensive and perfect for our needs. There is one step down into the property and one step up to the back bedroom My regret is that my husband and I cannot walk the superb walks across the coastal paths, but the small bays locally have disabled parking spaces for us to sit and admire the views. I will be back in Eyemouth ASAP.

This was a wonderful place to stay for a winter holiday - very comfortable and cosy with a great location.. The property was well equipped, lovely and warm when we returned from long walks on nearby windswept beaches. Beds were very comfortable and the local facilities excellent (Co-op store two minutes walk with late night opening; brilliant fish and chip shop and restaurant next door to it). Despite the town centre location it was very quiet - the only sounds we could hear at night were the waves breaking on the beach. Sea Spray was also very dog-friendly with an enclosed back yard and a sandy beach literally a minute's walk from the front door. The location is superb: Eyemouth is a great place from which to explore the coastal walks and beaches - we'd especially recommend Pease Bay, the Coastal Path to Coldingham and the beach at Bamburgh Castle but there are many more. We'll certainly recommend Seaspray and will return!

The area is lovely which we knew as have been before.. The holiday let was disappointing to say the least and is in dire need of deep cleaning and a lick of paint. I always thought the places were vetted by the agents but I’m not so sure now. My husband was working in the area and I went with him but just stayed 5 days then returned home. If we had not paid four weeks up front we would have looked for different accommodation. It is a shame really as the let is perfectly situated for beach area and local shops and could be ideal. I actually spent 3 hours on the Monday morning giving the bathroom a good clean so at least that room is ok now. The rest is shabby ☹️

We were very sepcital of the sea spray from the outside but when you go in it is very cosy, has everything you need 2 bedrooms all on ground floor apart from the double bedroom which has two steps the kitchen is well equipped for what we needed the beds were nice and city the only down side was the yard outside it needs a little try up would come again if we were going on short break the owner never came to tell us where to put key which was very inconvenient for us but overall everything wasok

The house is very basic although most required items available.. The location within Eyemouth is superb. It would benefit from brightening up with a lick of paint. The bed has only a single cheep mattress, a "topper" would help. There was no brush / dustpan, vacuum etc available. We like to keep things clean & tidy, but couldn't.

The cottage is a lovely size, well equipped for all our cooking needs, great location opposite an arcade / bowling ally - great for my son, very close to a co op shop, felt very homely

Perhaps in keeping with Eyemouth, this is very very far from a luxury property. Everything about it and in it is basic. That said it is priced accordingly and is in a wonderfully central location so for us represented good value. I was there because of family connections, it is hard to imagine many from the English South / midlands choosing to holiday in Eyemouth so it is probably well marketed. The kitchen, whilst small, does contain all the essentials (although not a dishwasher). The main bed has only a single modest mattress, my wife found it too hard. A "topper" would improve things? Surprisingly there were no brushes, brush/dustpan, vacuum etc so anyone like us wanting to keep it swept, especially of the sand one inevitably brings in, cannot. Within 200m is the good sized Co-Op and 1 of the 3 pubs. All of the harbour area, the other 2 pubs and the beach are within 5mins walk.

The description of this property is false, it is not a cottage it is an apartment with another larger apartment above.. It’s photo has been cropped to cut off the top flat, surely against Trade description act? To say ‘charming ‘when it is furnished with mainly old furniture, the armchair ‘s springs had gone and it was very poorly maintained. The boiler failed so we had no hot water for anything including a shower, the phone numbers for help from the owners weren’t answered, we left a message then contacted Sykes. Although two advisers tried to help no one rang back with any information. A handyman eventually turned up to reset the boiler, something he seems to do regularly, he also freed a jammed back door lock. We also had problems with the shower not draining. The parking was described as off road, it is actually the public car park across the road by the large amusement arcade and pub. Not a pleasant place to stay when celebrating an anniversary and disappointing as we have stayed in so many lovely Sykes properties without problems and with kind ,generous owners.

We found that there was no microwave or DVD player.. Plenty of DVD s but nowhere to play them. Both things were stated on site.
