Creel Cottage is an end-terrace cottage in the village of Eyemouth just four miles from Chirnside. The cottage sleeps five people and has two king-size bedrooms and one single with a family bathroom. Also in the cottage are a first floor fitted kitchen with dining area, a dining room and a sitting room. Outside is roadside parking next to the cottage. Situated in the heart of the Scottish Borders, Creel Cottage is a lovely family holiday cottage all year round.

Three bedrooms: 2 x king-size double, 1 x single. Bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. First floor kitchen with dining area (seats 4) Dining room. Sitting room.

Area
Situated on the east coast, just over the Scottish border, and only eight miles north of Berwick upon Tweed, Eyemouth has been a bustling fishing port for centuries, and there is still a fish market supplied from local fishing boats today. Narrow cobbled streets preserve the ancient character of this delightful coastal town, and there are a number of visitor attractions outlining the history of the area. Visit Gunsgreen House and learn some of the history of the town and the smuggling that once took place, or enjoy the museum, fishing heritage centre and art galleries on offer.

From the lush green farmlands of the Borders to the ruggedness of the Highlands, the Scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of Britain's best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam.

The cottage was well kitted out and was lovely inside.. The owners had gone to great lengths to provide any extra bits we may have forgotten or not brought. Perfect location! It was right next to the beach (which we loved) and had plenty of amenities within a short walking distance.

The house is in a fantastic location, and contains everything you need.. The beds are extremely comfortable, and the livingroom is spacious and very cosy; making for a great space to chill out after an evening out in the local pubs and restaurants. Thanks for a great stay, and I am sure if the need arises again, I will try and book Creel Cottage!

Perfect cottage, beach a stones throw away .. Very comfortable, warm and very well equipped. Lovely welcome pack was much appreciated as we could have a cup of tea on arrival! ( or wine should we have wanted!) Guest book shows many people return more than once! Local walking great for our two dogs and many beaches to explore within a few miles. Lovely fresh fish availability, and friendly helpful local people. We would definitely recommend especially if you have dogs to entertain! We would happily go back.

Creel Cottage is cosy and welcoming, a real home away from home.. It is in a quiet area and there is nothing better than going to sleep to the sound of the waves. Our dog loved her holiday too - getting out for walks along the beach every day and the cottage is very dog friendly. Eyemouth has plenty of good takeaways - with the dog we couldn’t visit any of the restaurants. It is a great area for exploring and we visited a few of the other beaches in the area. Would definitely book Creel Cottage again.

Creel Cottage is an extremely warm, welcoming and comfortable home from home.. The owners Jo and Mick have put a lot of thought into the furniture and fittings to make the cottage the kind of place their guests want to return to time after time. The location of the cottage so close to the beach and all the local amenities make it an ideal base to venture forth to discover countless hidden beaches, coves, arts and craft shops and wonderful restaurants within just a short driving distance of the cottage.

This cottage may not be be 5* decor but it had everything & more that you would need for an enjoyable stay, from sparedog towels, kids games,loads of dvds, the lovely touch left by the owners Jo & Mike - Wine, cake etc. Going to sleep at night to the sound of the sea, tucked away in a wind, I really cannot rate this cottage high enough, a superb find & will be recommending this to all of our friends and family.

One of the best cottages we've been to, it was clean, homely and welcoming, felt like home from home.. The sea front and beach were literally steps away from cottage door, for a small place there is every amenity you need a short walk away, Jo and mick were the perfect hosts and although we didn't need them they came to see if everything was OK and where to find them if we did, the generous welcome pack was much appreciated, probably the most well equipped cottage we've stayed at, even down to the dog essentials and beach toys for the kids, everything was thought of... The seals in the harbour made it extra special and you can even feed them from the little hut on the harbour.... The perfect place to explore the area.... Highly recommended and can't wait to come back

This is a fantastic cottage it had everything you needed the write up on Sykes web site does not give it justice.. It may not have a sea view but the beach is just around the corner and everything you need is within walking distance. Do not hesitate to come and stay here i could have stayed much !onger. The cottage was in a prime location, next to the beach and the working harbour.. The welcome pack on arrival was a lovely surprise. Neighbours were very friendly and everyone was pleasant to talk too. Weymouth is an ideal base for visiting other places along the east coast. Walks along the cliff edge were amazing and loved walking to Coldingham beach for a picnic. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be looking to visit again next year.

One of our favourite places - a perfect mixture of working quayside and family holiday resort with a good sized beach.. Plenty of places of interest both nearby [several pubs and arts centre] and further afield. Parking by the property can be an issue if you have a large 4X4 - however there are some free spaces a short walk away.

Eyemouth is a gorgeous place.. We had a day in Edinburgh. Would recommend Foxlake Adventures in Dunbar, we did the foxfall, it was great. Cottage itself is fab. Very comfortable, everything you need and more. Owner left us a lovely welcome basket too. Would highly recommend.

Just came home from a week staying in creel cottage.. I can highly recommend this place. It is spacious and well furnished. A lovely welcome pack awaited us on arrival and the owners were very helpful and welcoming too. Kitchen is very well equipped. Eyemouth is a lovely place to stay as a base. It has a good beach, a great harbour with walks and views plus lots of places to eat.

Ideally situated close to all amenities, hop skip and a jump to the beach. Cottage very comfortable, lots of extras including buckets and spades and a lovely welcome basket. Enjoyed as always Giacopazzis for ice cream and fish suppers, Oblos and The Contented Sole for evening meals

Our family enjoyed our time at the cottage. It was home from home, everything we needed for our stay was there. Lovely location; friendly people; welcomed into the local festivities. Weather was warm and lots to do and places to visit.

A last minute booking which was so much more than we were expecting. Such good value for money. Lovely surprise of goodies when we arrived.. Very comfortable and well furnished. Included a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and wifi and lots of other useful things you wouldn't normally get in a rented cottage. Very near the beach and harbour. All amenities nearby, lots of nice walks and so much to see and enjoy. Car parking for one car and is a bit tight. The only downside was there was no private outside area and looking at Google Earth beforehand we thought the back was overlooking the sea when in fact it backs onto another building so there are no views at all. Still we made a cuppa and in a dozen paces we were at the beach enjoying the sea air and the vista.
