Set across three levels and hosting four bedrooms, including a king-size with en-suite shower room, a ground-floor twin and two second-floor doubles, one with an en-suite shower room, each with their own television, along with a ground-floor bathroom, this property can sleep up to eight guests. There is also a kitchen/diner with a woodburning stove, an electric oven and hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge, freezer and dishwasher as well as a games room, a utility and a sitting room with a woodburning stove, whilst the central heating is provided by gas. Outside there is roadside parking available on a first-come, first-served basis and a garden with a lawned area, and a covered patio with furniture. For entertainment, guests are provided with a TV and WiFi. Fuel, power, linen and towels are all included in the price. Children under the age of five aren't permitted, however, two well-behaved pets are welcome. Please be mindful that there is no smoking allowed at the property. Cowgate Cottage is a superb base for an escape to Scotland.

Area
Nestled on the Machars Peninsula and overlooking Wigtown Bay rests the pint-sized coastal village of Garlieston. Famed for its former fishing and cargo harbor, the harbor is in use today for berthing leisure and fishing craft purposes. The village is home to a petrol station with a well-stocked shop and a traditional country pub, offering all of the essentials for an enjoyable staycation. There's plenty to see and do, with the nearby gardens of Galloway House, dating back to 1740, along with a fabulous network of trails leading through woodland and along the calming coastline.
