While Tuscany’s rolling hills and vineyards are the muses of many landscape artists, its urban areas are another incredible sight to behold. This creative apartment sits right in the heart of old Florence. Imagine the inspiration you could take from living two minutes from Santa Trinita Bridge, and less than an eight-minute wander from both the Piazza della Signoria and the Palazzo Pitti – well this home has certainly taken some influence.

As you ascend the grand entrance via paved stairs, beneath ornate hanging lamps, passing classical Italian sculptures, things already feel somewhat artistic and luxe. This feeling continues in the home, where the high ceiling of the living space is an artwork in itself.

We love the floral motifs painted on the wooden beams and frames, which match beautifully with kitchen wall tiles, and even a frosted mirror. This delicate floral theme shines through in contrast to black, modern, understated ornaments. Then fabulous terracotta floors take us away from the present day and back into a rustic Florentine era.

Follow these elegant tiles through to your bedroom, where the French window's curtains are just sheer enough to allow a sneak peek of the historic surrounding blocks. Is it time for a glass of prosecco yet?
