Though it may lack decoration, this apartment compensates with space and a unique location. Exiting the lift on the fourth floor (minding some steps on your way up), you'll enter to find a bright corner living area with light from two sides. This room doesn't have the most robust furnishings – the sofa is more of a chaise-longue, the dining table is small, while the kitchenette is tucked in a corner – but this is soon forgotten as you step onto the balcony, with views of the striking basilica. The bedroom is also sparse but sizeable, with an en-suite bathroom, while Piazza di Santa Croce is one minute along the road with plenty of bars and cafes to sample.
Home truths: *You'll need to climb five steps in the hallway of the building to reach the lift, then four more on the landing to reach the entrance.
*This home does not have a TV. It might not be suitable if you were planning to spend some nights in.
