Area
The village of Claddaghduff is situated northwest of Clifden. There are many activities and attractions in the area such as deep sea angling, lake fishing and you can also take a boat trip to Inisturk and Inisboffin. Pony trekking, pitch and putt are also within easy access to the village of Claddaghduff as well as spectacular walking and cycling routes.

Towering cliffs stand next to vast stretches of golden sand, whilst vast mountain ranges cradle cool, low-lying lakes. The Galway region epitomises the term ‘great outdoors’; with fantastic walking and cycling and exhilarating water sports.

This is an amazing house with views. The host could not do done enough and the house was so clean with all amenities included. My family and I stayed here and enjoyed every minute of our trip. I could not recommend this house enough and the area with Omey Island on your door step is a world away from home. I can't wait to come back and stay and get the warm welcome we received from the host and locals here.

I stayed in this beautiful house with friends for a week in June. This is our second time returning to Rèalt na maidin. I found the house to be spotless clean and from the second we walked in the door the smell of fresh flowers gave us a feeling we were home, when we stayed in September it was same beautiful smell of fresh flowers we remember. The host met us and we had their number should be require anything during our stay. The 1st evening was a bit wet so we were so glad to have some turf to relax with a glass of wine by the open fire. The location just speaks for itself, waking up looking out at omey island and the Atlantic Ocean is a sight like no other. I would definitely recommend this house to a family or a group of friends on a week away. We can not wait to return in September to the warm welcome we always recieve.

We had a great week, the house was lovely and cosy with everything we needed for a lovely family holiday with friends.. The area is perfect for visiting Connemara and the west coast and is situated in a lovely spot. Highly recommend Oliver’s bar in Cleggan for some pub grub and friendly atmosphere. Don’t hesitate, you will enjoy this house and everything it offers.

Claddaghduff is a perfect village for a family holiday. Carmel's house was ideal for us - walking distance to the beach, pub and shop, and a 15 minute drive to the nearest town, Clifden. The house itself is warm and comfortable, and the garden perfect for kids to play in. Great views from all round the house, especially the conservatory. We'll be going back!
