Holiday home
Woodmancote Lodge is a detached lodge near Linchmere, accessed by a grass paddock, with its own sauna. The studio accommodation comprises of a double bed, with an additional double bed above it, a kitchenette, dining table and sofa. There is also a sauna and shower room and outside, a deck with furniture and off road parking for two cars. Woodmancote Lodge is a great base for couples to enjoy the countryside and explore the many interesting towns of this beautiful region.

Area
Linchmere is a small village in the Surrey Hills, close to the interesting towns of Haslemere and Petworth. The village is in an Area or Outstanding Natural Beauty, and is ideally placed for walks and cycle rides. Chichester, Arundel and even London or the coast are within reach of Linchmere, making it an ideal destination.

Region
Surrey is an ideal destination for a fantastic holiday. With rolling hills, pretty towns and villages all set amidst glorious countryside in a fantastic location. There are country houses, English gardens and a wealth of stunning waterways to explore.

An overall good place to stay for a few days, everything was in check and .... An overall good place to stay for a few days, everything was in check and working, however there is a window in the bathroom that looks into the main house and doesn’t have a curtain, this caused a bit of uncertainty with us The overall stay was very enjoyable and the sauna was nice to come back too after a cold walk

Woodmancote Lodge, was a delightful hidden gem, and the owners where very welcoming ;)) The lodge was very clean, and super cozy and enjoyed using the sauna when it was raining outside.. Nice walks around the Estate and felt like I was cut away from all the noise of the City ! Would love to come back over the winter months again;))

We had a really great break, so relaxing and welcoming.. We felt really looked after and cared for. The area is peaceful and the accommodation was so cosy, just what we needed after a hectic xmas. Even though there was a small heater it was very warm and the sauna was a welcome addition. We will recommend to friends & family.

This has been an excellent experience, the cosy lodge was ideal for us being a family of three (1-year-old child).. There is no baby cot but we felt comfortable all together in the double bed, bigger children can also use the bunk bed but this was no option for our little one. The sauna is very easy to handle and the surroundings with horses, hens and a cat were amazing for our daughter. Thank you a lot for the warm welcome with a delicious lemon cake. Definitely would rent the lodge again!

Lovely little lodge in a beautiful part of the country.. Host was so helpful and kind assisting with stabling for the ponies last minute. I was impressed with the clean facilities, sweet decor and cosy feel to the place. I would highly recommend the lodge to anyone wanting to switch off for a few days in beautiful peaceful surrounding with ponies in the field next door. We had a great stay in such a peaceful lodge. We stayed over new year to get away from the fireworks as we were looking after a foster dog who had been through a lot of change. This was the perfect location. The only noise we could hear at night was the owl who lives in a nearby tree. The lodge is compact and very well thought out, everything you could need is here. It fits two adults and a large breed dog (Bull Mastiff), very comfortably. The floor is wooden, so easy to wipe clean after muddy walks. The sauna was an added bonus after a cold evening walk. It's in beautiful surroundings and we plan to come back during a summer month to appreciate a different season.

Accommodation is a large, comfortable, well equipped summerhouse.. There aren't any wardrobes but plenty of clothes hanging space and if you don't use the sauna, a large walk in cupboard. V. adequate heating if required. Right in the middle of wonderful walking country and easy access to main roads if want to travel further. Right next to stables with four beautiful horses. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Lovely accommodation in a very beautiful place! The Lodge is very well equipped being small and perfectly formed - but with enough space to more than comfortable for my one week stay with my dog Mutlu! The weather was fantastic; we explored Lynchmere Common - getting lost more than once - and enjoyed sitting out in the secure garden (Mutlu is a free spirit and likes to go exploring on his own, when he gets the chance) with a pink gin - that was me obviously, not the dog!! Can't recommend this place highly enough, was a perfect get away and we'll be booking again. Sarah & Mutlu

This is the second visit so we were familiar with the facilities.. . We take our grandchild whilst his mother is working. It is perfect for him but he is now 12 and getting too big to fit in the upper bunk. So reluctantly this will be our last visit.

A superb lodge in a lovely location, surrounded by stunning countryside and quirky villages.. The lodge was equipped with everything you would need for a break away. The hosts were really helpful with local knowledge and suggestions on places to visit. A perfect location to get away and recharge your batteries from the hustle and bustle of city life.

We had a pleasant stay for 3 nights but feel the facilities could be slightly better.. One cooking hob would switch itself off randomly, it took us 50 minutes to cook some sausages. The bbq was a bonus but with only one filthy cooking untensil. Cleanliness was good but a lot of dead flies and cobwebs around the skylight which also needs a blind as in June it was broad daylight in there at 4.30am. These are only minor issues from what otherwise was a quiet location in a beautiful area, lovely lemon cake on arrival too.

We booked linchmere lodge for a week beginning nov 3rd .. When we arrived just after 4 in the afternoon there was nobody there to meet us so we let ourselves in and thought we would make a cup of tea and iwait for the owner of the lodge to come and meet us but there were no cups . On looking around we noticed there was nowhere to hang your clothes and no storage facilities at all in fact the lodge was basically a shed with a shower and sauna installed in it the flat screen tv was a small tv mounted on the wall most of this cottage description is totally false .it was so disappointing and i definitely would advise people to ignore this property and stay as far away from it as possible out of one week that we booked we stayed for one and a half hour and drove home the owner was not even bothered or apologetic and the company and the owner did not even return our money i will not be booking with these people again

Enjoyed our stay at Woodmancote Lodge.. We were looking for a reasonably priced self-catering for ourselves and dog; this former swimming pool changing room with sauna fitted the bill. There were a couple of issues...the wi-fi was very average (one day I gave up on it); the bottom of shower door leaked; and although advertised as Sky TV, it is not. It runs freesat through a Sky box but, at the time of writing, it is not subscribed to Sky and no Sky channels are available only Freeview channels. Did not use the sauna but very handy space for suitcases instead. Many thanks for the cake. Weather was very good for time of year. Had a good stay overall.

Absolutely ideal for us.. 2 active grandparents and an over active 11 year old. The pool was a godsend Had to fish child out to go anywhere else. Lots to do within an hours radius. Weather wasn't that good but it didn't matter.
