Chic Southwold is packed with high end stores including Joules and Jack Wills plus some excellent independent galleries, delis, bakers and butchers. There some fabulous cafes, pubs and restaurants too, in fact you could easily spend a week in the town and have plenty to entertain with the beach, lighthouse, pier all close at hand.
If you’re planning on getting out and about why not hire a bike or try your hand at paddle boarding or surfing. This entire area of Suffolk is a myriad of footpaths - walk along the river bank or explore one of the nearby villages or visit RSPB Minsmere, just a short drive away. You could of course just stay in Southwold… take a stroll along the beach, stop of for a beer and cockles at one of the pubs and just chill.
