Holiday Rental Description

September Cottage is a delightful former fisherman’s house just off Victoria Street. If you’re looking for a traditional coastal cottage in a great location… this is the one for you!

Interiors are neutral, with discreet nautical touches, as a reminder of its previous occupants. But no more nets, buoys and fishing baskets, today this deceptively spacious mid terraced cottage is very smart and contemporary with a fabulous galley style kitchen fitted out with all modern appliances and a bright and spacious dining room with lovely period table and chairs. The living room is very comfortable with an old Victorian fireplace, perfect for a little relaxation. Upstairs the three bedrooms are just perfect... all beautifully furnished and decorated in coastal blues with a dash of red and pretty bunting and star lights hanging behind the beds. A door from the dining room leads out onto a private courtyard with metal table and chairs, the perfect spot for firing up the barbecue and relaxing with a beer over lunch or dinner.

Southwold has some great shops, cafes, delis, pubs and restaurants so you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to dining. Alternatively visit one of the independent grocers, bakers and butchers and cook up a treat. A visit to Southwold wouldn’t be complete without heading off to the pier, dating back to the 1900’s, it was originally built as a landing point for the steamships which use to stop off at the town. Don’t forget to visit the lighthouse - this distinctive landmark at the centre of the town has been guiding vessels into the historical harbour since the late 1800’s.

September Cottage is close to the beach and the town’s amenities so it’s easy to explore on foot. Why not park up and discover the delights of Southwold- hire a rowing boat, join a brewery tour or simply head to the beach and build sandcastles!
