Area
The rural hamlet of Foxt boasts a village pub serving real ales and good food, as does the neighbouring hamlet of Froghall. The village of Ipstones, also close by, has a village shop, Post Office and two pubs. Foxt offers many walks in every direction to suit all tastes, as well as a selection of cycle routes, and within half an hour's drive guests can enjoy playing golf at five golf courses. Alton Towers is just a short drive away, as are the Staffordshire market towns of Ashbourne and Leek.

Perfect retreat for a relaxing break in wonderful surroundings with easy access to a range of beautiful walks, country houses and historical buildings.. The cottage was very well suited to our family needs, including pets who were equally well catered for. We would book with Sykes again; the process was made very straight foreward and communications were swift and seamless. Thank you immeasurably for making our holiday so easy to organise and ensuring our comfort throughout.

2nd visit in 4 months.. Just love this cottage and location. Parking can be a bit tricky as its down a lane. Lovely loop walk to the local cafe, lots to do or not do as you please. Probably will book again!

The parking should be described as difficult! you have to park in between extremely tight spaces, and back in down a narrow lane, not good. My husband is a driver for a living and found it tight. Otherwise the cottage was good, stunning views with good garden furniture and well kept.
