Hosting two bedrooms, including a double with en-suite shower room and a twin, along with a bathroom, this property can sleep up to four guests. There is also an open-plan living space with kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Outside there is off-road parking for two cars and a wrap-around decking area with furniture. Betty's Lodge is the perfect country retreat for small families. Note: Though the property is all on the ground floor, there are steps leading up to the front door and may not be suitable for those with limited mobility. Area
The village of Swarland has Nelsons, which serves coffee and meals, a children’s play area and tennis courts. It is eight miles from Alnwick where there is a good selection of shops, pubs and places to eat as well as a castle, gardens, Europe's largest cascading water feature, a tree house, a rose garden and an ornamental walled garden. Nearby there are golden sandy beaches, numerous castles and boat trips to the famous Farne Islands, Brinkburn Priory and the National Trust’s Cragside House and Gardens.

Northumberland is a heady combination of fishing villages, market towns, sandy beaches, magnificent castles and historic Hadrian’s Wall, tied together by beautiful countryside and abundant wildlife.
