Lovely riverside walks as the property is only a 5 minute walk from the River Tweed. There is also a regular bus route to Berwick Upon Tweed. The community has a butcher, bakery, Post Office, grocer, newsagent, two pubs, and an award-winning restaurant in neighbouring Swinton. The Cross Inn in Paxton and two good eateries in Allanton are also close. Berwick-upon-Tweed, on Northumberland's Heritage Coast, is 7 miles distant and has restaurants, cafes, taverns, and a links golf course. Berwick is 40 minutes by train from Edinburgh or Newcastle. Excellent for exploring North Northumberland.
