The Bothy is a cosy holiday cottage with views over open countryside, situated next to the owner’s farmhouse, a mile from the pretty village of Lowick. This cottage sleeps two people and has a double bedroom, a bathroom, a ground floor shower room and an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with a woodburning stove. Outside there is ample off road parking and an enclosed front, gravelled area with furniture and barbecue. The Bothy is a wonderful holiday base for a romantic retreat.

Area
The appealing village of Lowick is excellently placed for a holiday in the unspoiled region of Northumberland. The village has a store and two public houses and is only two miles from the village of Ford and the Etal estate, with its castle and craft shops. The Etal Estate offers activities such as fishing, cycling and a mini railway, making this an ideal day out for the whole family. There are eight golf courses within a 20-mile radius, and many other attractions including the border town of Berwick-upon-Tweed, Lindisfarne on the Holy Island and the spectacular Cheviot Hills. The impressive Alnwick Castle and Gardens and the beautiful vast sandy beaches of the Heritage Coast are all within an easy drive. Lowick is perfectly placed as holiday destination that can be enjoyed all year round.
