To delve beneath the surface, pick up the Leyburn to Harmby walk, a 5 mile circular walk that takes you to Harmby's hidden waterfall. For a bit more of a challenge, there is also a 7 mile route that includes Preston under Scar, Wensley and Leyburn Shawl.
