Eldon Country is a Victorian house located in the village of Long Preston, North Yorkshire. Hosting five bedrooms; two double with en-suite, a four poster bed, a double, and a twin (zip/link), along with a bathroom, and two shower rooms, this property can sleep up to ten people. Inside you will also find a kitchen/diner, utility, and a lounge/diner. To the outside is off-road parking for six cars, and a lawned garden with patio, furniture and hot tub. Resting in a lovely setting with peaceful surroundings, Eldon Country is a magnificent retreat in a picturesque part of England.

Over three floors. Five bedrooms: On the first floor there are 3 x first-floor king-size double with en-suite showers, basin and WC. Up a flight of stairs there is a 1 x second-floor king-size double, that has its own shower/WC opposite. 1 x second-floor twin (zip/link, can be king-size double on request). Second-floor shower room with shower, basin and WC. First-floor shower room with shower, basin and WC. Kitchen with breakfast table. Utility. Lounge/diner.

Area
Long Preston is a village in Malhamdale, 12 miles from Skipton, 4 miles from Settle. To the north, the landscape rises to the fells, moors and valleys of the Dales; to the south are the wetlands of the Ribble Valley. The village benefits from several village greens, with footpaths leading to the hills. The railway station lies on the edge of the village. Nearby Settle is a town with a weekly market, and a good selection of restaurants and pubs and a public swimming pool.

From heather-clad moors and limestone scars, to market towns and the steady pace of country life - the sublime Dales await you! Where else in Britain is it as satisfying to sit and do nothing as it is to explore the numerous pursuits on offer?

Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Highchair. Off-road parking for 6 cars. Lawned garden with patio, furniture and hot tub. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 2 mins walk. Note: Some road noise may be heard. Note: No hen/stag or similar. Note: Children need to be supervised on patio area. Please note that due to the property being in the national parks the hottub only has planning permission to be used up to 9pm every evening and outside noise to be kept to a minimum as this is a quiet countryside location. Note:Please note that due to current government restrictions, all rooms advertised may not be available

Lovely property in a lovely village.. Both pubs within easy walking distance and we had a great meal in The Maypole. We bought maps in the local shop and did a couple of walks. Hosts very helpful

Wow, what a brilliant holiday home.. Eldon Country is just superb. If you are looking for a huge, grand, wonderfully decorated and equipped place to stay then look no further. The facilities are amazing, we all enjoyed the hot tub and the array of board games supplied. Long Preston is perfectly situated for a break, we visited Settle, Skipton, Kirby Lonsdale and Harrogate. We found some great farm shops near by and enjoyed some great local walks. The owners were really helpful, communication before, during and after our stay was great. 100% we will be returning. :-)

Had a family Christmas in this lovely house and it had everything we could have wanted.. Spacious and comfortable everywhere with a hot tub for extra delights. The area has a lot to offer for excursions including village rail station and shop and 2 great local pubs serving good food. A super place to stay for larger parties wishing to explore the wonderful yorkshire dales or just chill out for a few days.

The house was situated in a lovely little village, we joined in the activities .... The house was situated in a lovely little village, we joined in the activities at the local pub and were made to feel welcome, there was plenty of parking space and the house was very clean, the beds were really comfy , we used the hot tub which was situated next to the dining room door which made it easy access , the whole feel of the house was warm and cozy

The house is really stunning and very luxuriously decorated.. I would have liked to have known more about the deposit situation and I didn't understand that having handed over 100 cash, I wouldn't get it back until the cleaner had finished on the Sunday and I was then texting my bank details to the owner. I chatted to her and this was all fine but it was a bit unprofessional and not really explained that well. The rooms are really lavish and everything is thought about. It makes you want to really look after the place when you are there. I found searching for properties on Sykes really easy and will definitely be looking to book again - if not the same house because we had such a good time. Perhaps in terms of self catering it would be good to know what is provided and what you have to provide yourself as every place is different. Thoroughly enjoyed by all - thanks a lot.

Enjoyed a wonderful family stay at what I would say is a manor house rather than a cottage! The house is truly beautiful and intriguing, the decor and furniture adds to the splendour of the house. The garden views are wonderful whilst sitting in the relaxing hot tub. The house is very spacious and well equipped, could not fault it in any way...the village of Long Preston is within walking distance, has two pubs and a shop, also added bonus of a railway station which is operated by Settle railway line, offering train journeys whilst taking in gorgeous views of the surrounding countryside. Skipton is only a 20 min drive away and The Black Horse pub at the next village offers a superb Sunday carvery which I would highly recommend! Perfect stay enjoyed by all....
