Explore the quaint streets and corners, or go further afield to the Dales, Moors or the coast at Scarborough, Whitby and Filey. Yorkshire has many stately homes; Harewood House and Castle Howard are within an hour's drive. A cycling city boasting theatres, pubs and shopping, York has it all.

We wanted to stay outside the city centre during this week in York and were delighted we chose Stableford. Very close to the city with easy access via all forms of transport but also perfect for getting into the beautiful local countryside or simply walking the Knavesmire/Race Course. The attention to detail in ensuring we felt safe staying during Covid 19 was exceptional and appreciated. The owners could not have been more helpful before, during and after our stay - we were up there as we’re relocating. The house is very well furnished and very comfortable (especially the bed which was wonderful after some long walks/busy days). There are 2 pubs and a great fish and chip shop very handy along with a large supermarket within minutes. The private parking is also a definite bonus. We would not hesitate to recommend this accommodation and hope anyone lucky enough to stay here enjoys it as much as we did.

This property is unbeatable for its location in getting to York by bus. The stop is only a matter of metres away and is also nearby for two excellent pub restaurants. The cottage itself has every amenity you could think of to make your week a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Spotlessly clean from top to bottom, I would not hesitate to recommend this property to a friend.
