Whitby Harbour Retreat is a third floor apartment in a modern development overlooking the harbour and close to the town centre of Whitby. The apartment sleeps four people in two bedrooms - one double and one twin - and there is a bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. The living accommodation is open plan, with a fitted kitchen, dining area and sitting area with harbour and river views. Outside is off road parking for one car and communal lawned grounds. With the amenities of Whitby close by and lovely beaches within easy reach, Whitby Harbour Retreat makes a great base for a family holiday in Whitby. All third floor with lift access. Two bedrooms: 1 x double, 1 x twin. Bathroom with walk-in shower, basin and WC. Open plan living area with fitted kitchen, dining area and sitting area with superb views over the upper harbour and River Esk.

Area
Whitby is an historic fishing port at the mouth of the River Esk. There is wonderful coastline to discover, along with the North York Moors. Whitby is a delightful town with winding streets, a scenic harbour, sandy beaches and its famous abbey, reached by 199 steps.

Region
The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

Lovely comfortable apartment with great views of the river .. On the third floor but the lift is ideal. it is only a fifteen minute stroll into Whitby and it is ever so peaceful.we will be going again The lady who owns the apartment met us and showed us where everything was and she is ever so nice and friendly

Excellent week in Harbour retreat, very comfortable, very clean especially during these Covid times.. The apartment was well stocked to a high standard with everything you could want. Good position for walking into Whitby, about a 15 min gentle stroll to the swing bridge in the middle and all the restaurants, but you are away from all the bustle and noise. Great position to watch the steam train each day, about 4.30 it stops straight opposite the lounge window with whistle blowing and plenty of steam, a highlight. Would certainly recommend this property to anyone thinking of visiting Whitby

On arrival apartment cold as there was no heating on.. No hot water for 24 hours as immersion heater only switched on at night on economy 7. Welcome pack very poor (when compared to previous visitors) small carton of milk tea coffee sachets mini pot of jam and 2 packets of biscuits which were past use by date. Duvet on double bed was not big or warm enough. Overall apartment ok but wouldn't book again if returned to Whitby.

This apartment was everything it said in the write up.. Loved looking out on the river and watching the steam train going by. The apartment was very comfortable and had everything need for our break. Just a short stroll along the river and you were in the town with plenty to do and stunning views. Mrs Robinson met us on arrival with milk and home baked scones which we really appreciated after a long journey.

The apartment is ideally situated on the east side of the estuary, this was a real bonus as Whitby was very busy during our stay, yet we could come & go with ease.. The apartment is well equipped, quite modern & has a lovely view over the estuary, we never tired of watching the tide ebb & flow and the steam train entering & leaving the station. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this apartment.

We loved Whitby! Such a pleasant week, made all the better by having this comfortable, clean and tastefully furnished apartment to come home to each day. It was an easy, flat walk into town from Whitehall Landing, which we enjoyed each day. The buses to Middlesbrough and Scarborough ran regularly and it was a great trip through the Yorkshire moors. Goathland is a definite must for Heartbeat fans and Guisborough is well worth a visit. Thank you Electra for your warm welcome.....we would love to come back!

A peaceful and relaxing property within easy reach of the attractions, pubs and shops. The welcome from the owner on the phone and her assistant who welcomed us at the property gave us assurance that everything was going to be good. We used it as a base to explore the local area, and further afield along the coast and inland. We have returned home, relaxed and refreshed. We both would definitely re-book if and when we decide to visit Whitby and will recommend it to our family and friends.

We thought Whitby was a lively place with lots to do. There was great pubs and eating places.

when booking it was dealt in a friendly and efficient manner asking what our requirements were. the apartment was first rate with lift and close proximity to town center. we especially liked this side of the river with views towards the harbour and the steam train to view from the window . restaurants were great and the tour bus a great plus dropping and picking up as required. a delightful place to stay and will definitely be back in the near future .
