This is a lovely clean cottage, looks like it was recently updated/decorated. Was perfect for the two of us for a week. Kitchen area well equipped, & really good shower. It's literally 5 mins walk from the seafront, the town centre & the harbour, so great if you don't want to use your car.
It has a small patio area, which is advertised as private, but it isn't really! It's right in the middle of lots of houses & very close to two other rental cottages, so can be very noisy & it's very overlooked. But still, it was nice to have any outside space considering the location!
The cottage is accessed down a narrow alley & it is not well signposted, so is difficult to find.
Parking can be a bit of a nightmare, but to be expected in the town centre really. We were left 2 on street parking passes to cover the week, but we only used one & ended up paying for parking in a nearby car park, as there were just no on street spaces a couple of days. The spaces we did find were nowhere near the cottage, we ended up approx. 10 mins walk away.
Can massively recommend the Whitby Deli which is a couple of minutes walk, and also the Elsinore pub is very friendly.
We used the open top bus to have a good drive around the town, and got on & off in various places so it was quite good value for us.
Lots of the pubs take payment by card only, but all the Samuel Smith's ones take cash only so maybe make sure you have so on you if you are wandering around.
