Little Venice is a terraced waterside cottage close to the amenities of Whitby. The cottage has a double, a twin and a single room along with a bathroom on the first floor, while downstairs is a kitchen with dining area, and a sitting room with electric fire and doors leading out to the patio. This lovely spot overlooks the marina, and is a great spot to sit with a coffee as you watch the boats. There is also off road parking for two cars. Little Venice is within easy reach of the shops and restaurants of Whitby, as well as the beach and abbey.

Area
Situated at the mouth of the River Esk, Whitby is an ancient fishing port steeped in history. The ruin of St Hilda's Abbey is high on Whitby's East Cliff and looks down on narrow streets and alleyways. From the old town, the parish church of St Mary, also on East Cliff, has 199 steps leading to it and the churchyard was one of the inspirations for Bram Stoker's Dracula. Other attractions in Whitby include the Captain Cook Memorial Museum, Victorian Jet Works and The Dracula Experience. There are year-round events at Whitby Pavilion Complex and there is a blue flag beach and spectacular cliffs and bays to explore. Whitby is in a beautiful region and offers visitors a great deal of variety for a memorable holiday any time of year.

The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

Little Venice is a perfect property in a stunning location.. The owners have presented a lovely, clean and well equipped property. The patio and full length opening doors on to the harbour make for an outstanding, calming and tranquil view. We highly recommend it! We can’t wait to return.

I have staid in Little Venice and another in the quay before over last 19 years and never get board with the view.. The cottage is very clean and kitchen very well equipped. It is well placed for town and just far enough away to be quiet went wanting to chill.

Lovely cosy and well equipped cottage right on the harbour.. The patio was frequented each morning by a friendly flock of local turnstones looking for breakfast. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return sometime.

We have been staying at this cottage for quite a few years now, it is within walking distance to Whitby, and has a beautiful view from the back terrace.. It is very quite and the neighbours very friendly.

Fantastic cottage with lovely views over the estuary and railway line-loved watching and hearing steam trains! The cottage is well equipped-a real home from home-and spotlessly clean-thanks Helen for the milk and biscuits! Great to have private parking-in fact we hardly used the car-and the garage kept the car away from the seagulls!

Spotless clean cottage in a quiet surrounding.. We really enjoyed sitting outside and relaxing in the sun while watching the boats on thie river. Everything in walking distance.

The house was immaculate and very comfy.. A wonderful view from the rear waterside patio over the marina and down into town. The neighbours either side were really nice and friendly also, they even bagged up our washing for us when it rained!

I had a fantastic holiday.. The house was spotless when I arrived and clearly has been very loved. The south facing view outside onto the harbour was the selling point for me renting this property. I'd had a very emotional year and wanted to find a place I could relax peacefully and just process the years events. I definitely found it here. The friends who drove me to Little Venice were equally impressed and as commented on how peaceful it was. I think they would happily consider possibly booking in the future also. Thank you to the owner who was very kind and accommodating and always happy to help. I can't recommend highly enough I will be booking again in the future.

Little Venice is in a great location near not only pubs, cafes, restaurants and shops but a lovely beach also.. Good parking which is hard to find in Whitby. And very friendly neighbours, have already booked next years holiday at this lovely location.

The location was great, just a few minutes walk to Whitby with off road parking. The views from the back decking area were great, you not only looked over the River Esk but you could see the harbour and Whitby. The neighbours were very friendly.
