Just three miles from the town of Whitby and set in an elevated position, this apartment has not only been finished to a very high standard but also boasts beautiful countryside views towards Whitby Abbey and the sea. High ceilings, dado rails, sash windows, and glass chandeliers still remain whilst outside a large, communal garden provides a great space in which to enjoy summer ball games or an evening drink. Local amenities and various activities are available in the near vicinity, making this an excellent holiday base for a family or a group of friends.

All ground floor. Two bedrooms: 1 x double,1 x twin. Shower room with shower, basin and WC. Open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area.

Area
Situated in an elevated position, just three miles from Whitby, and twenty-one miles from Scarborough, the small rural village of Sneaton is a well-situated holiday location. The village, composed of pretty stone cottages that line the main street, is also home to an excellent pub offering exceptional local produce in a traditional setting with a welcoming open fire and beamed ceilings. The nearby Beacon Farm produces delicious, homemade ice cream and has a tea-room and farm shop open to visitors. Numerous public footpaths can be found around the village of Sneaton, making it a perfect location for walkers. The Monks Trod - an ancient stone path that monks followed to worship at Whitby Abbey â€“ is certainly worth investigating. From nearby Ruswarp visitors can go boating on the River Esk or make use of the small golf course.

Region
The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

Shop 3 mins walk (at Beacon Farm, limited opening times), pub 5 mins walk.

The photographs and description for this property were accurate for the most part.. Unfortunately it didn't quite meet our expectations We found that both the couches in the living room were rather tired and, we felt, in need of reupholstering. Although we were aware of the fact that no bath towels were provided, this was more of an inconvenience than we had anticipated as overseas visitors. The email we received indicated that there would be hand towels but there was only one, and there was only part of a toilet roll in the bathroom. Somehow for the price paid we had expected more. The apartment was clean and tidy. We were grateful for the provision of coffee and tea and various other kitchen "essentials" and the wine, which was most welcome. The bed in the main bedroom was comfortable. The apartment was very conveniently situated for the town and Park and Ride.

Superb apartment with everything you need for a comfortable stay.. Definitely requires your own transport in order to really explore the area and make the most of this great accommodation. Very friendly pub next door with really good food . Beautiful and well kept communal gardens. Perfect base for a weeks relaxing break.

Lovely comfortable and spacious apartment.. You list it as luxurious this I disagree with. Lovely yes but not luxurious. Only heating in the bathroom was the towel rail which was not sufficient. Also the heating else where could only be switched on for 3hrs maximum which meant you were coming in after a long days walk into a cold apartment. But to be honest it heated up quite quickly. Nothing much to see in Sneaton but was a good base for visiting other places. Enjoyed our stay but do not know if we would return to that area. Would I recommend the apartment- yes.
