Historic Scarborough Castle, which overlooks the seaside resort of Scarborough, has been a popular tourist attraction since the Victorian era. Families with young children and babies love the golden sands of North and South Bay's beaches. Children will enjoy the Stephen Joseph Theatre and Scarborough Spa, while adults will enjoy the Scarborough Open Air Theatre and other great adult attractions. In addition to golf courses and the Cleveland Way, which offers spectacular coastal walks and cycling paths like the ancient railway to Whitby, Scarborough also has excellent sailing and championship-quality surfing.
