The surrounding countryside offers good walking and cycling, with routes leading along the riverside path into the heart of York. Or venture into the North York Moors National Park to explore Dalby Forest or the Go Ape centre!

The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.
