House in North Yorkshire in Harrogate, North Yorkshire

Description
This property is located on the riverside in the historic town of Knaresborough, directly opposite a popular boathouse from where visitors can hire rowing boats by the hour to enjoy the river at a fun, leisurely pace. Of course, walks can also be enjoyed along the riverside, as well as in the dramatic valley of the nearby Nidd Gorge. In around the town there are a number of places of interest as well as a good range of shops, cafes, and pubs. The towns castle and neighbouring museum are located to the east of the town, whilst towards the west side of town the petrifying cave at Mother Shiptons cave is an unusual, yet fascinating, naturally occurring phenomena. There are several stone steps leading to the front door of this Grade II listed property, guests come first to the lounge/diner, a comfortable room with a dining area towards the rear of the space and a lounge area with its beamed ceiling, feature fireplace, and Virgin TV/DVD. A double glazed door from the dining area opens onto an unusual cave which offers a secluded seating area cut into the cliff face. A short flight of stairs leads up to the kitchen, with flagstone flooring having the original drain grate in the middle of the floor, hot point electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washer/dryer. Just off from this room there is a handy cloakroom with WC. Another short flight of stairs leads to a landing off from which there is a cosy single room and an attractive double room which benefits from a Juliet balcony overlooking the river. A further set of stairs then leads onto a second double bedroom with its exposed brick wall and views to Knaresborough Castle. The fourth bedroom is another single room, whilst the bathroom is extremely well appointed offering a roll top bath, separate shower, and WC. A door from the first floor landing opens on to outside stone steps leading up to a lawned garden overlooking the river. A wooden walkway from here leads up to the stunning turreted roof terrace which, with its garden furniture, is a delightful spot to sit out and relax over drinks whilst enjoying the views. Please note that there is a low wall to the rooftop terrace which makes it unsuitable for children or pets. There is roadside parking on the street close to the property which can be quite busy between 9 am and 5pm.
