The Lodge is a detached ground floor cottage in the grounds of the owners' home in the Norfolk village of Old Buckenham. The cottage sleeps four people and has one double bedroom, one twin room and a shower room. The cottage also has a fitted kitchen and a sitting room with a dining area. Outside is off road parking for two cars and shared use of the owners' garden with a private patio with outdoor furniture. Set in beautiful countryside and with excellent views, The Lodge is a wonderful holiday cottage fora relaxing break. Please Note: this property only accepts weekly bookings Saturday - Saturday

All ground floor. Two bedrooms: 1 x double, 1 x twin. Shower room with shower (with seat and back massage jets), basin and WC. Fitted kitchen. Sitting room with dining area.

Area
Old Buckenham is reputed to have the largest village green in Britain. It has its own church, castle and a windmill, which is reputed to be the largest tower-windmill in the UK.

Picturesque rolling Fens, unspoilt beaches, and pretty waterways â€“ East Anglia is a dream holiday destination. Norfolk offers beaches, saltmarshes and quaint villages whilst equally as charming are the coast and countryside of Suffolk.

We have never stayed at a cottage with so many little touches to make you comfortable.. Don is so friendly and welcoming and makes the stay extra special. Nothing is too much trouble. The cottage is set in the most beautiful surroundings and we had a walk every morning, going out the gate and along the avenue of trees without any traffic, just horses, deer and squirrels. We will definitely be back.

This was our second visit (hopefully not our last) to this tranquil treasure of Norfolk.. Words can not describe the amazing scenery in which the lodge sit's, to see munjac deer green woodpeckers hares and partridge in the surrounding grounds to name but a few !! The freedom given by the owner to enjoy his garden along side his knowledge and wisdom of the surrounding area made our holiday complete. The lodge has everything you need for a very comforable stay. Would go back in a heartbeat if we could. We arrived as friends but we felt like family as we drove away.Thank you Don for making this a wonderful holiday .

The location is superb and the wildlife is a joy to watch with deer, hares and hawks all visiting us during our stay. The owner is the most generous of hosts and he has become a valued friend. The Lodge is a peaceful oasis and yet is 5 minutes from the A11 from which all parts of Norfolk can be reached. Norwich is some 15 minutes away and is a fantastic place to visit for meals, entertainment or just sightseeing. Cannot recommend highly enough.

We were made very welcome by the owner Don who looked after us well.The Lodge is a cosy place to stay with everything you could want to feel comfortable and I would love to return,The only down-side was the shower.My husband is disabled and it wasn't easy to get in and out of .There was a seat but no grab rails which he needs.Apart from that and the weather (the week before had been sunny)we enjoyed the week.
