The popular coastal village of Bacton offers a range of local amenities including a pub, shops, cafes and a traditional fish and chip shop all within walking distance as is the sandy beach.

If you want to head out to explore for the day then why not hire a boat at Wroxham (14 miles), gateway of the Norfolk Broads National Park which boasts miles upon miles of scenic waterway which can also be explored by foot or bike, where you can stop off at one of the many riverside pubs for a nice meal or a drink or two. Cromer (11 miles) and Sheringham (16 miles) offer a larger array of traditional seaside fun with piers, amusements, restaurants and independent shops.
