Meols Holiday Lodge is a wonderful abode for a tranquil base to Merseyside. Note: The lodge rests next to a paddock with horses; please do not feed the horses. Meols is a coastal community in the Wirral district of Merseyside, situated close to Hoylake and West Kirby. A cluster of amenities are offered in nearby Hoylake, easing a self-catered stay, whilst the village itself offers a convenience shop, the Railway tavern, a train station, and a beach. In addition to the expansive shoreline across the River Dee and the adjoining King's Gap Nature Reserve, the area is also well-known for the Royal Liverpool Golf Club, which regularly hosts The Open golf championship. The Beatles Story Exhibition/Museum, Tate Liverpool, resting upon the docks, M&S Bank Arena, and Liverpool ONE shopping centre are just a short trip away, or head to Chester, a historic city full of charm and stunning architecture where you can stroll around the Chester City Walls, visit Chester Zoo, tour The Grosvenor Museum, or attend an event at Chester Racecourse.
