Rose Cottage is a semi-detached cottage in the hamlet of Norton Green near Freshwater. The cottage sleeps six people in three bedrooms which are a double and two twin rooms. There is also a bathroom with a separate shower. Completing the accommodation is a kitchen with a dining area and a sitting room with an open fire. Outside there is a front and rear garden with a barbecue, picnic bench and bike storage. There is also roadside parking on a first come, first served basis. Rose Cottage is a charming cottage in a lovely location.

Area
Freshwater is situated at the western tip of the Isle of Wight and consists of Freshwater Village and Freshwater Bay. Freshwater village offers a good selection of small independent shops, cafes and the West Wight Sports Centre and Indoor Swimming Pool. The magnificent high chalk cliffs, rolling downs and delightful beaches at Freshwater Bay and nearby Compton Bay attract many visitors and surfers all year round.

The Isle of Wight, with its beaches, unspoiled scenery, rich heritage and over 500 miles of award-winning public footpaths is a walker’s paradise, or if sailing is your thing, the renowned annual Cowes Week is not to be missed.

When I booked I was told that Sykes do not have IT rates for the ferry.. I think this is something you should really look into. Most hotels on the Island offer reduced rates for ferry crossings and as the ferry is horrendously expensive this is something that you should offer as part of the package.

Very well equipped and comfortable cottage.. Lovely location and within easy reach of shops and places to eat. Nice long garden for the dogs to have a run. Larder had a few staple extras and the welcoming cake was a nice touch. Would love to return.

We booked last minute and I am so pleased that Rose Cottage was available.. It had everything we needed and more and Jo and Tim were so accommodating and helpful, even offering to provide the kind of toys that the children in the party would like. This was our first visit of many to the IOW and I would be grateful if Jo could pass on the other details of her rental properties. My 7 year old daughter said, the cottage was comfortable and we really liked it, please can we come again!

Jo the owner was very helpful, even asking us which toys are children would like to play with during our stay.. We were given lots of useful information about the best beaches, places to eat, etc on arrival. The cottage is on a very quiet lane with very friendly neighbours. Easy access to beaches and local supermarket, pubs, etc. The cottage is very comfortable with plenty of room for the 5 of us. Our little girl loved the “flower” room as she called it, after seeing it on the website. We’ll definitely be returning!
