West Sea View No.5 is a delightful beachfront coastal cottage apartment near Yarmouth and can sleep three people. This apartment is set over two floors and has a family bedroom with a double and a single bed, a ground floor wet room and an open plan living area with a kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area. Outside there is off road parking for 1 car, use of a private slipway for launching your own boat and shared use of the decked patio area. West Sea View No.5 is a wonderful holiday base and benefits from direct access to the beach. Please note towels are NOT provided at this property

Area
The attractive seaside town of Yarmouth is the oldest town on the Isle of Wight, and its busy harbour is a haven for all kinds of watercraft, with the terminal used for regular mainland ferry crossings. Yarmouth's narrow streets are home to an array of shops and inns, whilst a visit to Henry VIII's castle is not to be missed. There's great cycling and walking to be had along the coastal path, or why not take an energetic stroll across to the nearby Tennyson Down? Sandhard beach is 15 minutes' walk away, and is ideal for swimming and crabbing from the jetty. 4 miles away is Compton beach, famous for dinosaur remains; go there at low tide and see if you can find the two enormous three-toed feet. West Wight is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Yarmouth is an ideal base from which to explore this wonderful island.

The Isle of Wight, with its beaches, unspoiled scenery, rich heritage and over 500 miles of award-winning public footpaths is a walker's paradise, or if sailing is your thing, the renowned annual Cowes Week is not to be missed.

Note: Swimming is discouraged outside the apartment due to the strong tide and currents.

Location nice but Apartment needs updating carpet on floor not wood as shown in photo all very grubby and no towels were provided. Very damp especially bathroom. No information of nearby attractions or local shops. There are some lovely walks and Yarmouth is nice but not an apartment we would visit again if we were to return to the island.

Lovely and quite, Beautiful views.. Apartment nice but shower was a truckle and no full size ironing board.. Fantastic carvery next door, staff friendly and welcome dog's. Great walk's from apartment. Would go back again but one with full sea view.

There was an issue with the shower pressure as it was just a trickle and not really fit for purpose .. .We weren't sure if it was because of the location of the property though .The toilet blocked twice during the week we were there despite us being really careful . Neither of the above issues have put us off wanting to go again however as the location is fantastic and our dog was in heaven .She is now sulking as she is back to the boring garden .We definitely want to go again and if the shower was a bit more powerful then that would be a very welcome bonus .

The cottage was in a great location - as mentioned in lots of other feedback, and the facilities were adequate.. We did have a few problems with the tv - no reception at all on the first night, but ok after that. Everything else was really good - the sofas and furniture maybe looked a bit tired and dated, but this did not affect our enjoyment of our holiday. The beds were comfortable and we slept very well. The shower was basic but functional - we were not expecting a power shower, nor should anyone else! Overall we would recommend staying these cottages, especially if you have a dog and want easy access to the beach and the coastal walks.

We have stayed at this accommodation 7 times now.. We love it. The location couldn't be better. The accommodation itself has everything we need. Didn't use the car all week. Bought a weekly bus ticket for £24. Bargain! Very dog friendly. Lots to see and do on the island for people and doggies.

Location is good.. Buses to the whole island are not far from cottage. Although the cottage was comfortable, it is looking a little tired. Could do with some TLC.

The only issues were, the shower was not powerful enough, so it was hard to wash hair etc.. The velux window needs a thicker curtain to cut out light in the morning

Needs a washing machine and clothes maid hard to dry towels, better recycling everything was one bin.. It was a lovely location, just needed better weather, and the boat House cafe is really good. I would recommend it to others.

It should be made clear that you need £1 coins for the meter I only new because someone else had put a comment on could have been very awkward otherwise .. Also the shower is useable but very weak other than that and the weather a very good relaxing week.

As far as I was aware the booking didn't explain that the property run on a £1 electric meter which we struggled to get change for.. Also because it was cold we had to put nearly £30 in. Which is fair enough because that's what plug in electric heaters cost, we just weren't expecting it.

THE LOCATION WAS BRILLIANT - BEING ABLE TO TAKE OUR DOG TESSA WITH US- HAVING THE BEACH AND SEA ON OUR DOORSTEP WAS FANTASTIC AND THE MOST AMAZING CAFE/BISTRO JUST ROUND THE CORNER FROM 5 SEA VIEW WHICH WAS DOG FRIENDLY AND MADE THE MOST WONDERFUL HOT CHOCOLATE AND BACON, BRIE AND MUSHROOM PANNI WITH A FANTASTIC VIEW OF THE SEA AND ALL THE SHIPS AND SAILING BOATS ON IT.. LOCATION AGAIN BEING VERY CLOSE TO VICTORIA FORT, WITH ALL ITS ATTRACTIONS AND FANTASTIC COASTAL WALK AND WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE OF THE OLD TOWN OF YARMOUTH. 5 SEA VIEW WAS VERY COSY, CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE WITH EVERYTHING WE NEEDED FOR A GREAT HOLIDAY.

This was our 6th time at this accommodation, and it won't be our last! It's a lovely location. No need to use the car. It has a fantastic bus service. Lovely walks. A great place for dogs and humans! There is a lot to see and do. The island is such a lovely place to visit.

This was a stunning spot to wake up in every morning, only one let down, the .... This was a stunning spot to wake up in every morning, only one let down, the electric cooker really does need a manual leaving for it as I don't cook with electric normally so the oven / grill was hard to get to grips with and the dials for the rings now have no numbers on them other than that it was a great place and well chilled out and lovely forest walk around the corner with a lovely walk in to Yarmouth along the front

We loved our stay, it was cosy and comfy and had everything we needed to make our stay memorable. The owner was friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. The quality of décor and equipment was high and the beds were extremely comfy. We could enjoy the sea in all its glory from the deck outside our door and hear the waves when we had the velux upon at night - what bliss!
