In the historic village of Rockbourne is West Park Farm, a working beef and arable farm. Occasionally, if you'd like to get involved you may be able to help the owner with day to day farm tasks and you are welcome to explore the pretty bluebell wood. Also on site, you'll find a large pond and a hard tennis court, which you are welcome to use (but please bring your own racquets). West Park Farm is ideally placed for exploring the New Forest, the cathedral city of Salisbury and the sandy beaches of Bournemouth and Christchurch. What was once a small granary has been converted into a neat, detached studio. Small but perfectly formed much thought has been given to providing everything you'll need, without cluttering the compact space. The high raftered ceiling makes the living area feel spacious and the small kitchen area which has a two-ring halogen hob and a multi-function microwave is adequate for preparing simple meals. Note:One pet accepted charged at £60 per stay.

Area
On the banks of the River Avon, Fordingbridge offers a choice of shops, pubs and restaurants and a local museum. The town has seven arches of the Great Bridge. The New Forest National Park is 1.5 miles away, with picturesque villages, pubs, and acres of rugged moor, heath and woodland with wild ponies. The Elizabethan manor house at Breamore, the New Forest Water Park, and the home of the National Motor Museum, Beaulieu, are attractions of the area.

Hampshire offers a wealth of treasures, from rolling countryside, unspoilt beaches, glorious gardens and pretty villages to ancient forests, bustling market towns, historic ships and imposing castles.

The Little Granary was a perfect holiday venue for my dog and I.. The setting was sublime and included wonderful walks around the farm, through woods and meadows. It was a really peaceful break with only the sound of the birds and animals. The owners were perfect hosts, leaving us to enjoy our stay but there for information and advice when required. I certainly consider The Little Granary as my 'bolt hole' in the future.

As it stated that it was dog friendly, we took along our 11 month old Red Setter puppy! There was NO garden for him... and the cottage was definately NOT for the larger breed of dog, which I feel should be stated in the listing. There was also NO sofa to sit down on to relax at the end of your day - just two garden chairs! It was little disappointing that there was no welcome pack as we have received them in other places with milk, biscuits etc its always a special touch for people when they arrive. We were booked for 3 nights but left after two as we just wanted to get back home. Sorry but we will not being going back.

We had an amazing time staying at The Granary.. It was lovely being able to help out with the calves and the farmer was happy to share his expertise with us which was very interesting. Mr and Mrs Olivier, the owners, were extremely friendly and helpful and made our stay very enjoyable and they went out of their way to help us after we became stranded with a flat tyre after hitting a pot hole unexpectedly! The Granary was perfect for our needs and the surrounding countryside and views from the front door was beautiful - looking out onto a pond, horses and sheep. The dogs enjoyed every minute of their stay too and are now sulking to be back home! Thank you for the best break in the New Forest yet!

Lovely little building, ideal for the weekend we stayed there for located on a farm.. Plenty of space to walk our dog and a handy grass area by the duck pond when a quick stretch of the legs was needed. The only real downside of the 'Granary' is that there is no secure outside space attached to it.

Great little getaway! A tiny 1 roomed cottage that was just the right size for two people and a dog. Great fun on the farm and a short car journey to the local village. Only criticism would be the weather, rain all weekend!! But still had a great weekend!
