Withernsea is a popular seaside town in the East Riding of Yorkshire and benefits from many historical landmarks, such as the museum in the lighthouse, a huge nuclear bunker and a Napoleonic fortress. The town also boasts a small sand and pebble beach, a traditional promenade, fish and chip shops and ornamental gardens.

From heather-clad moors and limestone scars, to market towns and the steady pace of country life - the sublime Dales await you! Where else in Britain is it as satisfying to sit and do nothing as it is to explore the numerous pursuits on offer?

Sorry, no smoking. Shop 10 mins and pub 2 mins walk. Please note that coastal protection work is taking place where rocks are being moved against the cliff - this can be seen and sometimes heard from the garden and will continue when the tide is out until late September 2020.

Only downside might be the proximity of the holiday park This didn't detract in any way during our stay but might do so in the summer.. An enormous plus ( and I have mentioned this on a previous booking) was the owners understanding that dogs are part of the family.Although they left furniture covers we pack more for the dogs than ourselves! Booked many holidays with Sykes and I can safely say this bungalow was more than a normal cottage you would rent for your holiday.. It was a home! It was absolutely beautiful. Had all mod cons with the added bonus of having a huge conservatory and the garden overlooking the sea. The village has lots and lots of shops, including Tesco and Aldi and is about a 15 min walk away, as is the beach. I would definitely book this again. Susan, the owner, was very friendly and you knew straight away that if there were any problems, which there weren’t, they would be sorted out immediately. Great holiday.

This was a really comfortable home Theyhad provided everything we could possibly want even Christmas decorations tablecloth and serviettes The large garden was perfect for the dog no worries about him getting out and the box full of doggy things was most welcome.. Will definitely go back again

Visitors need to be aware if you are thinkimg about taking your dog on the beach it has limited access a lot of steep steps..

The property was perfect for our family holiday, it is well decorated and very comfortable with a large garden and views of the sea.. It’s location within walking distance of the sea was brilliant so no need to use the car! Beaches are clean and great for children.

The cottage was lovely and situated in a quiet cul de sac.. The back garden was secure for my two small dogs. The area was lovely and the neighbours were really friendly, one of which helped us find the key safe which was not where stated in the email. Everything available to make the stay comfortable, a right home from home. Withernsea was a lovely place and there is plenty activities to fill in your days.The owner had taken the time to compile a folder with all information on the local attractions - we found this very helpful and we had a great week away. The booking was also so simple. The owners left a welcome pack (including a lovely bottle of wine, chilling in the fridge) they also called in to introduce themselves and to highlight they were available at any point if anything else was required - lovely couple.
