Really beautiful place, very clean and beautifully decorated. Comfy bed, great shower and loved the upper level living room it was so cosy. The hot tub was great and the grounds are so peaceful and quiet. The Stags head pub is down the road in walking distance but you need to book well in advance as it gets very busy and we ended up missing out to it being fully booked but there was a great little takeout restaurant in Preston that did amazing food called Al Capone, highly recommend. The only slight negative I have is there was no milk on arrival for a cup of tea and no basic cooking ingredients such as oil, vinegar but there was a small shop 10 minutes drive away to get everything you need.

We stayed at Owl's Hoot for a week at the end of October. What a beautiful place. The owners have done such a fantastic job from the decor to the equipment supplied. Was like going home from home. The renovation was 100% faultless. Charlie was very responsive to emails etc. Although being in a tiny complex with three others barns, you felt like you were in the middle of a field on your own. Absolutely bliss. We are hoping to come back soon! Thank you :)

A few days before I was meant to arrive to the cottage I came down with Covid. They said we couldn’t have a refund and then said we were not even able to change the dates ( which was an option on the website we booked with and they have now removed the option) they’ve took £800 of us and that’s all there bothered about. Absolutely awful hopefully they get their karma!

We stayed at The Owls Hoot 1st bank holiday of May and after lockdown, a weekend away and change of scenery was just what we needed. The Barns are amazing, the layout of all the barns has been so well done and are all very tastefully furnished. We had the extra benefit of a hot tub which was brilliant especially after a long walk. You are also allowed to bring dogs and though we don’t have a dog others during our stay did and they were all so well behaved and if we hadn’t seen them we wouldn’t have known they were there. Very quiet location, ideal for a break away and the local pub is only a 10 minute walk away.
