Lovely cottage in a castle mews.. Very clean and comfortable and there was a lovely welcome pack of milk etc and a lovely bottle of prosecco. The area was beautiful with lots of lovely walks for us and our dog. Found a very friendly local pub with good food. Would love to come back sometime.

Over the last 20 years or so we have stayed in dozens and dozens of cottages but I have to say that this was without any doubt the one that surpassed all our expectations.. It was superb. On arrival there was a welcome hamper including a bottle of prosecco, and our wee dog was pleased to find doggie biscuits and chews and a very comfy doggie bed. The cottage was immaculate with eyepopping decor...we loved it. Within a couple of hundred yards were two pubs, a chippy, and a lovely bakers and teashop ...perfect. I can only rate the accommodation at 10/10....so a huge well done Scott, you've cracked it!

WOW! what a little gem.. We noticed this property was new to the market and had no feedback. We took a gamble and were not disappointed. The property is small but very cosy. All of the mod cons and two large internet tv’s, WiFi and all of the essentials you would need. The owner had even left us a beautiful hamper and a bottle of prosecco. Lovely touch. Just outside of the castles main entrance there is the Durham dales centre which is a small haven of coffee shops and gift shops. Just metres along the road there were three great welcoming puds and a coop, We went to high force waterfall and bowes museum which are both breathtaking. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be back.
