Arrived in Weymouth on Friday night not sure what to expect. The house is in a quiet cul-de-sac and I was pleasantly surprised; the house was clean, bright and spacious and well appointed. The thoughtful hosts had provided a lovely welcome basket, and the house felt like a home from home. I began my stay with a lovely shower, plenty of hot water and great water pressure. We walked the short distance to the seafront, via a gorgeous parkland after the hosts thoughtfully suggested as an indirect but more pleasant route to take after a long drive. We had had a long journey and we needed a decent leg stretch. We enjoyed a terrific fish and chip supper on the seafront as recommended to by the hosts. Beds are comfortable and it was so peaceful and relaxing. Awoke early, and decided to participate in the Weymouth parkrun. After, we explored the town some more taking in the stunning seafront, sandy beach and back to Milton House where we enjoyed a well-deserved lunch. The kitchen had everything we needed, and more, the sun was shining and we enjoyed lunch in the garden. This evening, we had a pub dinner, and rather exhausted I settled into a good book selected from the bookcase. I am sorry that due to work commitments we can’t stay another night. We will be back! Thank you to the hosts who went out of their way to provide such a lovely couple of night’s stay including suggestions for ‘local haunts’ we may prefer allowing us to avoid the crowds- the weather is unseasonally tropical and it is also the Weymouth Seafood Festival. Relaxing break and I am planning my next one. Thanks for sharing Milton House win is for a short time. We will be back!
