Portland Harbour and the mountainous "Isle" of Portland are only a short drive away, connected to Weymouth by the breathtaking Chesil Beach. Just 7 miles away is Dorchester, the inspiration for Thomas Hardy's "Casterbridge," or you may take a drive along the coast and stop by Abbotsbury Swannery and Subtropical Gardens. To see the beautiful Dorset Heritage Coastline, you might just just go to West Bay.
