The traditional seaside town of Swanage has many attractions, including a striking bay backed by a golden sandy beach, a good selection of shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants and amusements suitable for all ages.

This picturesque region is also a popular base for long walks in the Purbeck Hills, via the South West Coast path or for exploring further inland. Head five miles north west and visit Corfe Castle, home to historic castle ruins cared for by the National Trust and accessible via steam railway.
