Oke Apple Cottage is a single storey cottage in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty half a mile from Okeford Fitzpaine. The cottage has an open plan living area, a shower room and a bedroom which can be offered as a super king-size double or a twin. Outside is off road parking for one car and shared use of the lawned garden and swimming pond, along with a private patio with furniture. Oke Apple Cottage is an ideal retreat for a couple or pair of friends to enjoy the peace of this countryside location and the touring opportunities it affords. Note: One well-behaved dog welcome.

Okeford Fitzpaine is a small village in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, a few miles from the market town of Dorset. This area is ideal for walking, the coastline, Thomas Hardy country and towns such as Sherborne and Shaftesbury.

One well-behaved dog welcome (to be kept on a lead at all times due to livestock). Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 10 mins walk. Note: The owner has 3 dogs and there are donkeys and chickens on site. This property does not accept children under the age of 8.

This was our 2nd visit to Okeapple Cottage in Dorset - No doubt we will return again ! ! It meets ALL expectations and more. Perfectly maintained and fitted out, everything one could possibly want. Ideal situation . No inquisitive humans, only dogs, donkeys and squirrels...Any problems that may arise (highly unlikely) will be sorted out in an instant by the proprietor who only lives a stone's throw away. Heating works perfectly in cold weather, excellent WiFi/internet connections...what more could anyone ask.

This is a well equipped cottage in a good location.. It is quiet and in the countryside which is what I wanted. I had a lovely week visiting National Trust property and the coast and the cottage was a pleasure to come back to each evening.

We enjoyed our holiday and the location of this property, Fi the owner was very welcoming, we enjoyed watching the donkeys in the fields adjoining the property and would have to say that the bed was the most comfortable we have slept in a holiday rental.. We did however have one negative with reference to taking our dog which was partly our fault for not reading the full terms and conditions, reading clause 7a after receiving the full information when we had paid in full we realised that we were not allowed to leave our dog in the property alone at any time, after realising this we decided against taking our dog as it would have been to restrictive as we like to eat out and this would have prevented this, I feel that this particular restriction should be highlighted on the page that states pets welcome for example with a note “see clause 7a” This would put me off using Sykes Cottages again unfortunately.

Absolutely no Sirens , no Motor Bike roar, no traffic noise at all .. Peace at last. Starry nights ,Bird song all day ,even heard a Cuckoo, the owners who live nearby,available if required, scenery worth looking at all day. Tips . Ensure that you take a Tin Opener , Tea Strainer if you like proper tea. Essentials such as Bread, Milk ,and your preferred breakfast bevs', and a Map of Dorset if you haven't got Satnav.

This comfortable cottage is set in lovely Dorset scenery and is in 5 minutes drive of Okeford Fitzpaine village shop for daily papers and groceries.. The Royal Oak pub there does lunches. To be picky we missed a toast rack, also a towel rail by the sink in the bathroom would be nice.

Super cottage in tranquil surroundings.. A real retreat in a beautiful part of the world should you want to escape or explore. We could have happily based ourselves here and walked in a different direction every day. So comfortable with lovely soft furnishings but practical too if you have a dog. Kitchen well equipped. The location was stunning, the owner was friendly, it was better than a home from home. We felt completely relaxed an comfortable.
