Leylands is a delightful late Victorian terraced house built for a sea captain, in a beautiful position in popular Salcombe. In addition to the en suite shower room is a family bathroom and shower room, and the property accommodates a maximum of 6 adults, 2 children and 1 infant (one master double with estuary views, one twin room, one double room, and one children’s room with a bunk bed). There is also an open plan kitchen/dining room, two lounges and a utility area. Outside is a sloping garden, and furnished sun terrace with a barbecue – a parking permit for one car is also provided for the nearby long stay car park. Leylands provides spacious, well-equipped family friendly accommodation, in a peaceful spot within easy walking distance of Salcombe’s quayside and beaches.

Area
Salcombe is a popular destination for watersports enthusiasts, walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea. There are several pretty beaches within a short distance, including North Sands and South Sands, plus the coves East Portlemouth on the opposite side of the estuary, just a short passenger ferry ride away. Also on your doorstep is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, coasteering, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe, take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking on the South West Coast path.
