Situated on the River Axe and within easy reach of both the West Dorset and East Devon Jurassic Coast, Axminster has many attractions, including plenty of privately owned shops, a weekly market and old inns, with one dating back 100 years and the famous River Cottage Canteen and HQ. The area is ideal for walking or cycling and with the Jurassic Coast just 3 miles away, Lyme Regis, Charmouth and Seaton are all within easy reach and offer an opportunity to walk the Coastal Footpath.
