Saltwind Granary is a gorgeous cottage, one of a group converted from old barns in countryside 5½ miles from the Devon village of Clovelly. The cottage sleeps four people in two downstairs bedrooms, a double and a single with en suite shower room, plus a family bathroom. On the upper floor is an open plan living space with seating area, dining area and kitchen. Outside is a neat private garden with table and chairs to the side of the cottage and a footpath leads to the coast. Saltwind Granary is a stunning cottage for a Devon holiday in spectacular scenery.

Area
The picturesque fishing village of Clovelly occupies a secluded, cliffside position and attracts visitors from the world over. A pedestrianised, cobbled street winds its way down the hillside passing the colourful gardens that characterise the village's pretty, whitewashed cottages, on its way down to the sheltered harbour.

Region
Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?

The detail of the interior design was second to none.. Everything you needed was thought of including the binoculars and torches. Unfortunately we didn't get to sit in the garden as not warm enough but would love to come back and try again with the weather. I loved the silence of the location and we could even see the sea from the balcony. This accommodation was an absolute delight. Could have lived there. I'll be back for sure.

Cottage in need of a deep clean.. Whilst bedding ,towels and surfaces were clean, all glass surfaces including mirrors, shower screen and windows were dirty. Cobwebs were prevalent through the cottage, especially around windows. Shower cubicle was unusable because of a blocked drain.Owner and Sykes were contacted..... Sykes returned the call, which was appreciated but in an email, the owner made it clear that he would only be remedying the problem after our departure. Apparently it should have been sorted by the cleaner. Not really 5 Star treatment! With hindsight I should have asked the contact from Sykes to get it resolved instead of just accepting it was going to be out of use for the whole week.

Saltwind granary is very thoughtfully decorated to a high standard.. It is in a fairly remote location, adding to its charm. we had a lovely stay there

Saltwind granary was lovely, we really enjoyed our week there, it was our first stay in North Devon we found something to do everyday.. This was not our first time with helpful holidays, the standard of cottages have met our expectations each time. We are looking forward to our next one in September.

We had a wonderful stay at this delightful and peaceful cottage.. A great base for walkers and people wanting a tranquil break. The kitchen is very well equipped and the owners have taken a great deal of thoght in the comfort of their guests with some lovely extra touches .
