Cromford, with its rich history and beautiful walks, including along the canal where Richard Arkwright had one of his revolutionary mills is 4 miles away. Carsington Water has a great water sports centre and is set less than 8 miles away. The grand Chatsworth House with its roaming deer is just over 11 miles away and Bakewell is a similar distance with its famous pudding.
