The market town of Ashbourne is within driving distance and with its narrow cobbled alleys, it is something of a haven for antique hunters, boasting superb shops, as well as a variety of good pubs and restaurants, also within a short drive is The National Arboretum museum. Take a trip to Alton Towers, Hansons Auctioneers, Uttoxeter Racecourse, Castle Donington, or enjoy a historical day out exploring the National Trust properties such as Kedleston, Sudbury, and Calke Abbey.
